ABOUT: ACCLAIM

Yours will not be "just another party." But don't just take our word for it. Below are the comments and testimonials of the press and from our clients.

Vesna's work and Gracious Events have been featured in:

Mike Mervis - Zilber

"On behalf of Joe Zilber, the Zilber family and the Zilber organization I would like to thank you and the entire staff of Gracious Catering for the outstanding work that you did on the occasion of Joe Zilber's 90th birthday party at the Calatrava on September 9th. The food and service were spectacular. Working with you and your staff was a joy. There was not a detail that was missed. The comments were, without exception, reflection of the highest standards of your profession. Having worked with your organization on Joe's birthday parties for his 85th and 90th, I can assure you we look forward to working with you again on the 95th, if not sooner. Please extend our sincere thanks to Emily and all of the members of your hardworking and dedicated staff."

Diana J. Mathis - Foley & Lardner LLP

"On behalf of Foley & Lardner, I would like to express our gratitude to you for catering our wine tasting at the Villa Terrace on September 29. There is only one word to describe the event: Perfect."

Val Carter - Miller Brewing Company

"This is a short note to thank you very much for the outstanding catering service you offered to Miller Brewing Company for our SABMiller Site Visit to Milwaukee. Right from the start, you offered the utmost professional service that anyone in our industry enjoys receiving. Your attention to detail was superb and the food was incredible. I really enjoyed your ability to appreciate what we wanted and to deliver exactly on brief. It would be a pleasure for me to work with you again and I look forward to the opportunity."

Tracey & Andrew Wadsworth

"Thanks to you and the outstanding Gracious Events team, however, we will never forget our wedding day! From the very first meeting with you... we knew that you understood us and the importance of the event we were planning and shared our appreciation for the integral part that fine cuisine, incredible service and a true sense of style would play in the dream we had for our BIG day. What we didn't know, however, was that we'd find ourselves discussing 'late into our wedding night' the extent to which your team absolutely exceeded our expectations:

If only we could entrust all important events in our lives to Gracious Events!"

Real Simple Weddings 2009

"In Perfect Taste." pp. 138-139.

For a couple that have known each other since middle school, choosing to get married in the city where they grew up was an easy decision. But once Elizabeth Graves, 34, and Jeffrey Young, 36, settled on their hometown of Milwaukee, the challenge became how to introduce their friends to the best of the city. Elizabeth (Real Simple's beauty director) and Jeffrey made food a focus, serving award-winning Wisconsin cheeses and local microbrews during the cocktail hour and skipping a seated dinner in favor of multiple chef's stations placed throughout the decorative-arts museum where their wedding took place. So as guests roamed the gardens, which overlook Lake Michigan, they got acquainted with not only unique, delicious dishes but also one another--a movable feast at its best.

Bride & Bloom Spring 2008

"Artistic Milwaukee Art Museum." pp. 110.

The bride's colors of white, champagne and plum were carried into the ceremony site by the florist, Gregory & Co., which complemented the space with tall glass floor vases filled with deep purple orchids and branches. After the ceremony, guests walked back to a long glass-enclosed hallway. There, they enjoyed cocktails provided by the wedding designer and caterer, Gracious Events, and viewed a special art exhibition while the ceremony space was being transformed into the reception area.

"This space transforms itself for each bride," says Vesna Madunic, co-owner of Gracious Events. Madunic's company has worked the space often and the approach they take is less is more. "The lines are so simple and stunning that only a small amount of design is needed," she says, adding that what little is done has to be impeccable. It's safe to say, that at this space, every wedding is a work of art.
